Telephone Dialing Rules - Jakarta

Trying to call someone from inside Indonesia can be a real quagmire unless you know the dialing rules or protocols.  We do not have anything like this in the U.S. and thankfully for us, it is much more simplified than having to learn all this below for calling in and around Jakarta:

Duh

Mobile to Land-line:

drop +62 (Indonesia country code) and add 0, then dial local area code, then the land-line number. For list of Indonesia local land-line area codes see: http://www.wtng.info/ccod-6.html#CC62

Land-line to Mobile:

dial 0, then the mobile number

Mobile to Mobile:

drop +62 and dial 08 - and then the number

Land-line to Land-line:

drop +62, (if calling from inside the same local area code #, no need to add local area code number), then go directly to the number. If calling from outside the Indonesia local area code #, then you must add it first before dialing the number.  For list of Indonesia local land-line area codes see: http://www.wtng.info/ccod-6.html#CC62
